01 / What we support
Two areas of charitable focus.
Our grant-making concentrates on organisations whose charitable work aligns with our two established purposes.
We consider organisational purposes and proposed uses of support with care, under trustee oversight.
01
Orthodox Jewish Education
We support organisations whose charitable work advances religious learning, the study and teaching of Jewish texts, and the transmission of religious knowledge.
We recognise the importance of institutions and suitable resources in sustaining educational traditions across generations.
Education can extend beyond a single lesson to include ongoing study, the development of teaching resources and the continuity of establishments responsible for religious learning. Any potential support would be considered against our charitable objectives and trustee responsibilities.
02
Orthodox Jewish Religion
We support organisations established to advance Orthodox Jewish religion, including appropriate purposes connected with worship, observance and religious learning.
We recognise the contribution these institutions make to the continuation of religious practice and community life.
Religious institutions may support worship, religious instruction and the settings in which observance is maintained. We consider the nature of the organisation and the stated purpose of support, rather than assuming that every organisation within a broad category qualifies.
02 / Our approach
Consideration from purpose to decision.
Our trustees are responsible for overseeing how charitable resources are administered and distributed. Four considerations describe the basis of our approach; they are not a guaranteed application timetable.
There is no automatic right to funding. The available resources of a grant-making charity may change, and our trustees must consider individual matters in accordance with the Trust's purposes and duties.
01
Charitable purpose
We begin with the nature of the organisation and its charitable activities, considering their relevance to our own objectives.
02
Alignment with our objectives
We consider whether the intended purpose relates to Orthodox Jewish education or the advancement of Orthodox Jewish religion.
03
Trustee consideration
Our trustees retain responsibility for decisions in the context of the Trust's resources, objectives and circumstances.
04
Application of charitable funds
Where support is approved, resources may be directed towards the organisation and appropriate eligible purpose.
03 / Why we support institutions
Helping existing charitable work continue.
Educational and religious organisations develop knowledge, experience and relationships over time. Their work depends on those who teach, organise and participate in religious life.
We recognise this continuing contribution. Our role as a grant-making trust is not to replace these organisations or operate a broad network of programmes, but to consider support for eligible purposes within our registered objectives.
Maintaining a clear connection between charitable resources and charitable purpose remains at the heart of our approach.
Where organisations enquire about support, we encourage them to describe their charitable work accurately and explain how the particular purpose relates to our objectives. This allows the nature of a request to be understood without implying prior eligibility or a funding commitment.

04 / Organisation enquiries
Tell us about your organisation and its work.
We welcome relevant enquiries from organisations whose purposes relate to Orthodox Jewish education or religion. Providing a clear introduction helps us understand the nature of the request.
An enquiry is not an application approval, an offer of funding or a commitment to provide a grant. The Trust may need further information, and contact does not establish any obligation for the trustees to award funds.
Useful information to include
Organisation details: name, charitable status where relevant and contact information.
Charitable activities: a concise description of the organisation's educational or religious work.
Purpose of the enquiry: the activity or need for which support is being considered.
Connection to our objectives: how the proposed purpose relates to Orthodox Jewish education or religion.
Supporting information: any relevant details that help explain the request.
05 / Important information
Clear expectations for grant enquiries.
We do not publish a fixed grant programme, standard award amounts or a regular application timetable on this website. Trustee decisions remain subject to our charitable purposes and available resources.
